Flamingos Latin Bar & Grill: A Taste of Latin America in Amarillo

Flamingos is hands down the best gourmet Latin food in Amarillo. I have not received one bad thing. The staff is always very nice and friendly. They treat you like long lost friends and welcome you as soon as you walk in. I take all my friends and family here and they are always impressed with the quality of their food. Absolutely amazing!

My husband and I ate lunch here July 20, 2024. We both ordered the birria tacos and were very pleased with how delicious all the components were. The chips and salsa were excellent, as well as the two sauces that come with the tacos. The beef consumme served with the birria tacos was the best we've ever tasted. I don't usually care for beans and rice typically served but theirs is absolutely delicious! My husband was surprised I ate them. Their Margarita was excellent as well. It was well balanced and not too tart/sour as most are. We will make this place a monthly date.

What a Gem in Amarillo! I am absolutely in love with the food here. The 4 things we ordered was a 10 out of 10! We ordered Mofongo with steak, also Aguachile, birria tacos plate and Yuca fries! Omg! Amazing! The service was also top notch. If you haven't come, please give it a chance and thank me later!

Came here for the first time and I was not disappointed. The service was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. It's a great place to bring the family or friends and they can handle large groups as well. They do have a bar also and flat-screen tv's everywhere. The price was very affordable. We will definitely be back again.

Delicious Latin food! My wife and I were looking for something different than the usual Mexican fare that the area is known for. We stumbled upon Flamingo's and saw that had dishes that my wife hasn't had since she was a kid living in Florida. TOSTONES w/MOJO: Mashed and fried plantains. My wife's favorite appetizer that she had a lot of in her Cuban family. The Mojo was a nice mixture of garlic, onion, and vinegar MOFONGO with Skirt Steak: a Puerto Rican Green Plantain Mash.The meat was cooked perfectly and the plantain mixture had a ton of flavor. TAJADAS with Skirt Steak: Honduran Fried Green Banana which were nice and crispy! Again the skirt streak was perfect... Restaurants tend to under-flavor overcook skirt streak, but this was some of the best! MOJITO: Refreshing and delicious! Didn't taste too strong of alcohol but had great lime and mint flavor with a ring of lime & sugar in the rim. Everything came with chips and salsa which tasted very fresh. And the portions are really good! We'll definitely be back to try more. Especially the dessert!

I've eaten here a few times and every time the food has been really good. The first time I ate here I had the quesoburria tacos and they were amazing. I'd say they were some of the best tacos I've had in Amarillo. I've also tried the chili relleno which was good and I've ordered the fish tacos a few times and they were great. They come with 3 different sauces and a cabbage mixture to put on them. I'd recommend eating here.

Birria Tacos were chunky and plentiful. Great flavor and spicy sauces make them top-notch. Server was nice and attentive. I’m passing thru town but I would come back if I were ever to visit Amarillo, TX.

Amazing food! Great Prices! Great Service! All of our food was good and our server, Israel was awesome! We ordered some birria tacos, a shrimp and cheese stuffed panoramic pepper, and mofongo with fried chicken. The monfongo and fried chicken is one of the best plates of food I’ve ever had. Definitely will be coming back for more!
